Discrimination in a multicultural society as a pedagogical problem

This thesis is focused on the problem of discrimination in education and generally in the Czech republic. In the theoretical section are explained the main concepts of discrimination, racism and xenophobia. It also contains basic laws with discriminatory issues. Next it deals with the description of a multicultural society, which builds on multicultural education, which helps children better understand and tolerate the minority in the Czech republic. The practical part is processed on the basis of a questionnaire designed for three types of schools (rural, urban, metropolitan) and determines the orientation of students of selected schools in foreign issues and maps their opinions, attitudes and experience with minorities. Multicultural Education per ring ceramics advanced

I have called the work Multicultural Education pet ring ceramics (advanced). The goal is to introduce children of Interest Advanced ceramic ring formation and evolution of the world's continents, through awareness and understanding of culture and life of different nations, with the influence of the environment, society and the welfare of ceramic production in different regions on Earth. Final output will consist of two days of firing zakuřované ceramics exhibition of the Academy of the House of children and young people, participation of children in ceramic products for the contest organized by the DDM and SVC Regional Office.
Tolerance in a multicultural societytraining

The aim of this thesis is to examine a degree of tolerance of students of selected secondary schools in the region to ethnic communities. It encounters and considers factors that affect and shape their attitudes. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with analysing and explaining of these terms - multicultural society, development of multicultural society, migration, ethnic community, characteristics of ethnic communities in the Czech Republic, culture, and traditions, coexistence with ethnic communities and integration. In the research part, it concerns with processing of survey attitudes of high school students from ethnic communities, with a focus on the Islamic community, and the current immigration crisis. The investigation focuses on the personal attitudes of students and their knowledge, both through multicultural education at school and through the media and social networks, which now play a major role in shaping the attitudes of young people. The research is completed with short case studies based on open-question questionary Finally, it presents some examples from multicultural education at high school and its contribution to shaping values and attitudes of students. American rock music of the second part of 1960s and its cultural and political role

The thesis deals with the cultural, social and political events in the USA during the 1960s. It examines the degree of interaction of these events with rock and pop music. It defines music as an essential part of counterculture and anti-war movements. In addition, the work focuses on specific organizations and groups that took part in numerous demonstrations and marches. Attention is given to the musicians who warned people about government propaganda, persecutions and injustice. The thesis reflects the changes during the 1960s in the USA as a source of inspiration for the next generations. The practical part contains a preparation for an English lesson for the ninth grade of elementary school. It introduces cultural and social background. Several topics of multicultural education, which is part of the elementary cross curriculum education, are included in this bachelor thesis. It focuses on awareness of pupils' cultural and social values. At the same time, it leads them to be curious and tolerant to different race, nations and cultural diversity. The lesson is uploaded on the methodical website RVP.CZ, where it can serve as an inspiration for other teachers.

Ethical Dimension of Multiculturalism (Using the Knowledge of German Realia and Culture)

The presented dissertation deals with the ethical aspects of inconsistent view on the contemporary world, which can be seen as a philosophical, political and multicultural problem. Since the Federal Republic of Germany can be considered an example of open multicultural society, the author presents in the work a rich factual history, culture and realities of the country with the aim to clarify the understanding of its foreign policy relating to the immigration. The dissertation addresses the issue of the ethical dimension of multiculturalism in connection with migration and multicultural coexistence in a culturally diverse and often turbulent environment, including their practical impacts. The research carried out at the university environment of multicultural Germany in 2014-2016 detects present cultural diversity of the country, confirms the importance of the education in the process of integrating newcomers into mainstream society and searches for opportunities to improve the coexistence of people of different races, ethnicities, cultures and religions. In the conclusion, the author tracks the future developments and expectations with respect to the topic of multiculturalism and its ethical dimension both, on the territory of immigration Germany and in European and world context.
